Dear Rommer

As I am a new member and have attempted to post a question and have been barred from posting because I have not had much activity as a new member.
I am looking for the information that will allow me to correspond with other members or the control group. I can find no clear instructions that will lead me through the preliminary procedures.
Thanks

Just post and good things will happen. (As long as you are not a SPAMMER, we don't like those type of people here)

Great idea. I'm new to the Regal community. I just purchased a 2005 3560. I'm in Texas and my lake it lake Texoma. Look forward to reading/posting to the forum.

Excited new owner and found this site so joined immediately - Looks good! I bought a 2005 Regal 1800 with Volvo Penta 3.0 and would like to re-engine to a 4.3 for more power. Is there help or knowledge or a conversion kit for things that will help? I checked under "modification" and didn't see anything for re-engining. I would expect to change the gear in outdrive but hopefully not change the whole thing. I'm looking for lesson's learned and/or guidenance. Thanks for helping! Jeff

Understandable. I'm new here and have a 3260 in Chicago. We boat mainly on Lake Michigan. Looking foward to meeting my brother and sister Regal owners.
I found this site researching a 12 volt fridge problem. I see a lot of issues with those here.

Hello all

I am a new user to this site. I have owned 13 brand new boats' from 15 to 37. Now I am 67 years young and need something I can handle myself. The Admiral (wife) and I test drove a new 2014, 2300 and was very impressed with the way that it handled and the user friendly features so we bought it. It will be stored for the winter but any information we can get on the boat would be appreciated as this is our first Regal.

Also never been powered by Volvo.

I am looking at a new Regal 1900 and am wondering how the stepped hull works on a roller trailer in shallow water for unloading.

Thanks

It will hit. You have to get it in far enough to help float it off.
Thanks, Chris

It would be nice if part of the OP posters profile included the model and year of their vessel! Some folks that have limited time to view/respond to the forum posts would not have to read posts about a 20 year old 19" Regal with a carbureted 4.3 Mercruiser while we are looking for posts regarding a 4260+ vessel? Probably the same for the folks with a 19-22 ft Regal owners reading posts about dual A/C units/twin 460
HP diesels etc.?

Just my thoughts, dont mean to offend anyone

Hey gofast24, I notice that you don't include any of your model info in your post. Most of us include model, year and power as part of a signature if that will help.

Got it, thanks!
Do I have to type all the info everytime I post or is there a automatic "signature" that is inputed by the forum software?

Re: FYI - New users and question re battery power

Postby Susan » Mon Aug 03, 2015 10:27 am

Cap'n Rommer: Thanks for your care with this site which I think Im going to need to return to over and over. New to boating. Got hooked three years ago in a 1986 Peterborough 26' Cabin Cruiser which afforded many happy hours of cruising and camping on Lake Champlain. Splurged this year at a boat show on a 2003 Regal Commodore 2860 and am finding it's been a bit like having traded my old reliable Chevy pick-up with no options for a more temperamental Ferrari. For example, can anyone tell me if it is reasonable to expect to be able to run a refrigerator overnight without completely depleting one or both batteries? Our Commodore has two fridges, so we turn one down low hoping that will help. We have a generator which we run for a couple of hours when we're off shore power and anchored for the night. We switch the batteries from "all" to #2 and preserve #1 for starting the boat. Each time, within three hours, we're awakened by the beep of the CO detector telling us it's running out of power because the battery is. We start the generator and the battery immediately charges but loses the charge again within an hour or two (depending on how long we run the generator). Is this normal? According to the marine shop where we bought the boat, the batteries have not been replaced since 2012 but they aren't sure when they were new. I thought a battery should last at least three years.

Dear Moderator,
It would be nice if you required new (or all) members to list the following in their profile or signature when first logging in to this forum=
Location of Vessel, Regal Model, year, and type/manufacture of propulsion system, and then their problem

Too many posts require us responders to guess at all these variables which creates a multitude of responses asking all this info in order to give an imformed response?

Sounds fair to me. I'd think there would be some automated anti spam software that would at least help.
